Stimulated by study of abstract and lyrical expressionist art, Kearns explores compositional drama with an emphasis on repetition and process in a graceful and convincing manner. Her paintings present a moment that resides somewhere between the real and the artificial – like the illusion of wind and light seen through closed eyelids. Kearns ' work displays an unerring sensitivity to line, color and form. Kearns is a graduate of the University of Toronto and Sheridan College and has spent the past eight years exhibiting in Canada, the U.S. and Switzerland. Image:

Koo's series of encaustic work titled “Piece of Cake” is inspired by the patterns and colours of spring – a new season, and baking along with cake decorating techniques by using beeswax. By using the different temperatures needed to warm the wax and varying amounts of pigments Koo can produce unexpected and fresh results in her playful and delightful ‘Pieces of Cake' series. Yvonne Koo creates these little indulgences and tasty treats for the viewer. Yvonne Koo is a graduate of the Ontario College of Art & Design and Sheridan College. Image:

In his paintings, Lakeman explores the relationship between art and the life of an artist. The heroic proportions of the containers of paint and the brushes represent the impelling relevance of the tools and techniques which are the heart of the artist's world. The vivid splashes, drips and splatters play a significant role in animating the tangible objects as Lakeman combines abstraction and realism. Image:

L'Clerc was born in Lyon, France and now resides in Canada. In L'Clerc's work every object acquires meaning by the process of pictorial staging and presentation. Every image whether of vests, shoes, or hats suggests a particular iconography. The surfaces of the paintings are built up through multiple layers of oil paint so that the rich opaque textures of the objects seem to emerge from an illusion of transparency. Image:

Born and residing in New York City, Levi has been focusing for a number of years on a series of drawings and lithographs. Perhaps the title of one of his works, "Still Life with Warhol and Vermeer" speaks for itself. Levi always portrays two famous images of women by two different famous artists in the same piece. The affect creates an interesting, yet stunning portrayal and comparison of two artist's styles. Levi's work has become a permanent part of many of our client's art collections. Image: |
